    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    In olden times the people built the houses of clay, and sometimes of logs. These houses were very small and dark in comparison with the houses of the present day. There were but two apartments in every house and often there was but one.
    The houses had no grand big windows but instead they had holes in the walls to let in light. The walls were very thick and white-washed on both sides. When a man wished to build a house, he collected a sufficient supply of wet mud for the house.
