(continued from previous page)in three hours he was back and told the woman it would do.
But in his absence the Boy of the house came in from his work and ate the gruel.
The woman being quickwitted said I am just -cooling it so it has got a bit too cold.
I will warm it a bit, where in she filled up the saucepan with butter-milk, and put it on the fire for a few minutes so he said it would do.
He ate it with relish and when finished he congratulated her and said she never made him such a nice "posset" before.
