- Long ago there was a fairy tree growing in the middle of O'Neill's field in the townland of Formal. The owner of the field John O'Neill cut down the tree and left it in the street. In the morning when he got up he went out to the street and the fairy tree was away. He went to the field where it was before and it was growing in the same place. Some of the old people to the present day believe it in fairies and if you cut fairy trees bad luck will happen to the field in which it was growing or some one will be ill that night.
