    Poll a' Phúca - An interesting and weird subterranean passage found on the left bank of the Abann Uí Chríodh at the Cascade. It is 8' over the water edge in normal floods and is of a crude circular shape. It is 5' high and is supposed to extend to Béul Na Díge Cross a distance of 1 1/2 miles. Lord Kenmare was landlord.   2. (a) Beann Árd (high peak) Sometimes misspelt Bounard. Area 625 acres and 22 perches.
    A subdivision is Gabhlan (fork). Two bog streams meet here in Con Cronin's land and flow through Gleann Ghríssín into the Caladh Mhágh. Gabhlán touches on the neighbouring townland of Gallán. The two names are never confused by local people but are often a puzzle to strangers.
