   And the mistress near fell dead, and tried to rise that she might call for help but she could not move, or utter a word or cry for the spell of faries was upon her. Then one of them called to her in Irish, and said "Rice woman and (us) make us a cake. The mistress searched for a vessil to bring water from the well and left the bush on the forth where she got it and when she returned to the house the faries were gone and from that day till this it's unlucky to touch a fairy fort.
