  1. There is an old church in the district called Taunagh.
    About one hundred years ago it became disused and a new church was built near the town.
    The chief mark of interest about the old church is a stone near the door and on this stone is written the names of the men who were the church wardens at the time the new church was erected.
    The old ivy clad church like a lot of other old Irish buildings was built on a hill.
    Inside the four walls are several new tomb stones and some of the others date back to about the year 1750.
    The church was built in the year 1733 by William Cooper a church warden at that time.
    The names of some of the people buried under some of the old tomb stones are:
