   and only one side of them was left open, this one side was left open for the people to get into the bed. The people made the blankets themselves also. They were made from the wool of sheep. They had to spin the wood left before they could make the blanket. The ticks were that soft that you could not see the person in the bed. Candles, dips and wishlights were used to give light to the people in the country houses. The people made the candles themselves. Most of the houses had a half door.
