Ar an leathanach seo
- The names of the farm animals we have at home are cows, horses, pigs, sows, calves and donkeys. Every cow in the farm has got some different kind of a name such as Curley, Spottie, Dexter, Sullivan and others.
We go to the pasture morning and evening for the cows and calves, and so as to bring them close to us we call them and say "How How" and when calling the calves we say "Suc Suc".
We bring them to a house and tie them to get them milked that house we call a stall. They are tied in bails made of timber and fastened overhead with an iron hasp. They are sometimes tied with chains around their necks and fastened to stakes. The house we keep the horse in is called a stable. It is covered with iron and built with stone and mortar.
There is a manger at his head which keeps fodder. He is fed on hay, mangolds, turnips and he drinks water. In the winter time he has(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
