- There are three holy wells in the neighbourhood of this parish. Glendahalan well or "Tobar na súil," Lady well and Wether's well.
Glendalahan well is situated in a field which belongs to a man by the name of Cantillon. Lady well is situated in the outskirts of Ballyheigue village and is decorated very nicely by the parish priest.
Wether's well in Ardfert is in a field which belongs to a man whose name is Connor. Every person who goes to pay rounds at Wether's well must give him sixpence for the trespass they are doing on his land.
Rounds are paid on certain days such as Fridays and Saturdays also May day and St. John's day. There is a story connected with Wether's well.
It is said that soldiers were searching for St. Brendan to kill him and one day he went in hide some where near the spot where the well is to day.
The soldiers came looking for him with their blood hounds. When they came(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
