- Long ago the people lived on three meals a day and for each meal they had either fish and potatoes or oaten meal.
Every morning when the people would get out of their beds they would go working for about an hour or two. Then they would all sit down round the table to their breakfast which was generally potatoes and fish.
When eating, the table was placed in the middle of the floor and when not in use it was put near the wall. For the dinner the people had potatoes and milk and for the supper they had oaten meal. They had their breakfast at nine o clock and had their dinner at one oclock and their supper at eight.
The bread that was used was made by the woman of the house. The mixtures she used were flour, meal, soda and salt and they were wet with boiling water.
