  1. Fairwell, Fairwell old Saltport shores,
That scene so dear to me -
As I wandered around you all day long
My heart was full of glee,
The Precaun - Dhu, and the cuite Curlieu,
They had no fear for me -
They claimed that as their native home
    Old Saltport by the sea.
    II
How I gaze all day, at Knocknarea,
    Just right across the wave,
Its lofty peak I'd like to seek,
Where rests our good Queen Maive,
Can't walk across, so there's the loss,
As life's is dear to me.
So I'll ne'er repent but rest content
    At Saltport by the sea.
    III
I'm in a maze, while I wait and gaze,
    To hear those gathering guns,
Those Breakers roar, far from the shore
You'd hear at George Mc Munns -
The Feathery foam, is the petrols home
Oh what a life long spree -
Can live and thrive, and swim and dive,
    At Saltport by the sea.
