  1. When the sky is black it is a sign of thunder. If the sky is black and part of it is blue it is a sign of it going to be wet. If you see a rainbow in the morning it is a sign of rain. "A rainbow in the morning is the sailors warning.
    A rainbow at night is the sailors delight."
    If the crane flies from the mountain it is a sign of storm. If a curlew whistles twice it is a sign of rain. If the distant hills seem near it is a sign of rain also. If the dog eats grass it is a sign of rain. A blue blaze in the fire is a sign of storm. If the dogs guts are rattling it is a sign of rain.
