Then the huntsman put down another £500 and himself with it, and the devil won, so he had the man and all.
    The priest asked the devil if he could talk to the man for a while. The devil said he could talk to the man while the half inch of a candle that was lighting on the table would last. The priest extinguished the candle, and it never burned out, so the devil could not get the man. The woman died without the priest, but he brought up the loss by saving the man. This piece of a
