  2. This estate lies N.W. of school. It got its name from the Land Lord, whose name was Pollock. It consisted of twelve tenants on this estate and forty in the Brierfield part.
    This Landlord was very wealthy and was anxious to evict the tenants on the Pollock part. The plan he adopted was to allow arrears to accumlate for eighteen years so that the tenants would not be able to pay. At the end
