- Long ago a young man lived in a small thatched house with his mother, the young man used to go out every night. One night when he was going across the field he met three men carrying a coffin and they asked him to carry the coffin with them and when he went over to take hold of the coffin the three men disappeared then the man took home the coffin to his mother. When his mother saw him with the coffin she began to cry but the young man told her that it was company.
The young man took the cover from the coffin and when he did a beautiful girl with long hair rose up in the coffin.
When his mother saw that she got an awful fright.
Then the girl told him to get a white horse and go to her house(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
