- Travelling folk are very common in this district. They have many queer names and some of them have nicknames. Bolderbanks are one tribe that stays a long time in the one place and especially in this district. Here are the names of some of them, Smiths, Wards, Bawleys, Mac Donnaghs, Kennedys, Reillys, and a lot of others also. These are nicknames of old tribes who used to come to this part of the country and who still come. The "flannel beggarwoman" was the name of one old woman because when she used to go about begging she used to wear(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
