  1. 1. Traces of the house in which "Betty Weenagh once lived is still to be seen near the River Suck. She was very strong and one time she carried a double harrow and a barrel of oats a half a mile and crossed a plank over a river.
    At another time a dance was held in her house and for several days there was frost and the river Suck was frozen and a piper who was coming to the dance was unable to cross so Betty went across on the creaking ice and carried the piper across the Suck.
