    About two-hundred hears ago in parish of Kiltullagh in the county of Roscommon there lived two noble chieftains who had a very big castle. They dined and feasted every day and when they died the Lynch's who were
    Normans deserted their house and went to live in the kings castle. They lived in it about forty years. They pretended to have an Accommodation for travelers who were on long journeys. One night twenty people who were coming from the fair of Galway and they got lodgings in that house for the night. They went to bed as usual and in the middle of the night one man awoke and he heard the people of the castle preparing to kill all who were in bed . He told all his companions who were asleep to get up and pretend to go looking at their horses that people of the house
