He then said to the saint, ''may the one that sits on my chair without paying to sit on it, stick to it.'' ''May the one that sits on my pony without paying to go up on him, stick to the pony'', and the one that takes my apples without paying for them stick to the ground.'' ''All right'', said the saint ''your requests are granted.''
After a while the devil came in, and he said to Rickerd ''Will you come with me to Hell?'' ''I will'' said Rickerd, ''if you give me a £100.'' The devil gave him the money. Rickerd said to him ''sit down there by the fire first, and we will have a(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
