- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)build their nests in trees. The two last-named sometimes build their nest in high rocks. Blue-tits, great-tits, house-sparrows starlings and pied-wagtails makes their nests in any hole in buildings or old trees, while robins and wrens build their nests anywhere. On moorland and rough ground are to be found the nests of the skylark, plover, curlew and meadow pippit The yellow hammer and corn-bunting build their nests under bushes or under a tuft of course grass. When we see large flocks of seagulls inland it is regarded as a sign of stormy weather and when rooks gather in flocks and become very noisy it is a sign that we will have rain.
