   I live on my father's farm. It is situated at Deerpark, Burt. Some of the local pace names are the "Rig", It got its name because it is just a narrow stripe of land. The "Dam" field got its name because there is a dam at the bottom where flax is steeped. The "Rabbit park", got its name because there are hundreds of rabbits in it. The "Watery Brae" got its name because there is a spring well at the top of it which hardly ever goes dry. The "Barley Park", got its name because ther were some good crops of barley on it some years age. The "Scrag" field got its name because there is a scrag in the centre of it. "Porter's", field got its name because it belonged to a man called Porter in years gone by. "Cavalry", field got its name because there was a regiment of soldiers trained in it some centuries ago.
   The "Shore hill", belongs to Mr. Thomas Smyth, Bohillion, Burt. It got its name because the shores of Lough Swilly reached it in days gone by. The "Stoney Park", got its name because it is all rocks and stones. The "Planting", field got its name because there is a plantation around it. The "Standing Stone", got its name
