The three-ton stone lies in Cooladawson about three miles from the Steeple.
The Steeple is still visited by sightseers especially on Mulberry Sunday in July.
Visitors pick and eat the mulberries.
- We have in the school an old wooden article about 200 years old. It must have been the first attempt to quicken the slow process of Knitting by hand. It consists of two pieces of wood one inch square and 16 inches long.
There are twenty two teeth set in the wood, seven in each piece.
