A rainbow in the morning is the Sheperd's warning...

A rainbow in the morning is the shepherd’s warning, a rainbow in the night is the shepherd’s delight. When the sun is yellow, yellow-red, or orange when it sinks there will be rain next day. I it is more red when it sinks the next day will be fine. When the winds come from the Garrison direction there will be rain. These winds are known as “Garrison Winds”. Garrison is a town south-east of Ballyshannon. When there are “goat’s hairs” in the sky there will be rain next day. “Goat’s hairs” are clouds like goat’s hairs. They are always very high up in the sky.
