Parkhill is a large field in the townland of Parkhill.

Parkhill is a large field in the townland of Parkhill. When the field was being ploughed by its owner human bones were found. This field was the graveyard for the monastery of Assaroe.
From the field a well paved road leads to the monastery over Croc a’ capaill. The road is now covered with mud and grass. It is said that there was a chapel in the graveyard. Parkcill is the way the people say the word.
