  1. Sore legs. It was Michael Morrissey who told me of these cures. He said he had a sore leg once and that he put comfrey on it. You tie it on the sore part with a piece of cloth. It will not come off the leg until it is cured.
Cuts. Slanlus is good for curing cuts. It is tied to the leg like comfrey. Crobh Phádraig also cures cuts.
Vomiting. Beside Mr. James Power's house is a well called Tobar Sceithín, the water of which cures vomiting. People drink it for this purpose.
Kidney. Dearg-fhalla is a big flower like a dandelion. It cures kidney trouble.
Swelling. Faoi is supposed to cure a swelling.
    Red-Murrain. Crobh-dhearg is a cure for red-murrain.
Corns. Penny-leaves (Pennywort) are round green leaves which cure corns as well as swellings.
Deafness. The water that comes from the sides of the Naomh Murrín cures deafness. A drop of the water put into the ears of a deaf person cures the deafness.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
