A Song - The Bike and the Hike (ar lean)
“Dear Sir, I am pleased to appraise you, The bicycle duly was found...”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)And when, sir in years that one hoary,
You steer for the glorified crown,
The lamp may it light you to glory,
And the wheel-may it not let you down.

Meaning
In this parish about thirty years ago a man was at a dance and left his bicycle on the roadside. While the dance was in progress the lamp, pump, and one of the wheels were stolen and the bicycle was found in a field nearby in a dismantled condition.
