going through the window the hound caught it by the leg but it got inside.
The men entered and were surprised to see an old women in the corner. They asked her where the hare was and she said she did not see any. They then searched the house and not finding it, they asked the old woman to stand up as they thought she was hiding it. When the old woman stood up they were surprised to see a pool of blood under her, and her leg badly cut questioning her she admitted she was the hare that had been milking the cows and that it was the hound that caught her when coming in the window.
