The boys around here go out with the wren on Saint Stephen's Day. The catch the wren the night before. They get a small box and dress it up. They fill the box with moss. They leave a little next for the wren.
They feed him with bread crumbs. They give him water to drink. They put him into the box, and put a lot of coloured papers in the box. They put a glass lid on the box. They ask coppers. They sometime ask bread,. They keep going all day until it is night. The people have great welcome for them.
One of them collects the money. They say a poem(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
