Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)butter to be made. About one hour in Summer and from one to two in Winter. It is worked up and down by hand. When the butter is made it all comes to the top and that is why the people know when the butter is made.
It is all gathered in one lump and washed several times in water to take out the butter milk. In winter when the cream is very cold the people put lukewarm water into the churn to make the butter come quickly. Butter is made twice a week in summer and once a week in winter.
