    The ball was made as follows-
    The heart was made by winding thread around corks and then it used be covered with leather and sown with a wax end.
    The hurlies were made of ash cut in Cratloe woods and made by the hurlers
    Bowling was played in Cratloe a very long time ago. This was played with an iron ball from public-house to public-house each man would get a chance to put the ball along the road to see who would it the straightest. Some people could put it round the turn of the road
