    Scruff :- Sulphur and blue-stone ground fine and mixed with hot water and rubbed the scruff on the beast.

    Ring Worm:- Soot an turpentine mixed together and rubbed to the Ring-worm.

    colic :- Soot taken from the chimney and melted to a liquid, and drank .this often gave relief.
    Corns:- fat meat tied to the corn and left for a day or more ,or bread -soda shook inside the sole of stocking
