At the "Mile Tree" situated between Clerihan and Clonmel, on Mrs. Cahills farm is an old rock beside a fence. It is covered over by an old bush which is knocked down for years. On the rock is the print of hands and knees and in the centre of it is a little well of water. No water how dry the year, water is always in it. The old people remember to have seen people praying there and washing their eyes with the water. The bush or tree that fell down over it was never touched or cut away, as it was supposed to be unlucky to touch it. That is the reason that it is more or less forgotten by the present generation, as very few know of its whereabouts.- Informant
