    In olden times years before the modern conveniences were heard of turf boats were constantly plying between Limerick and Knock.

    Long ago there was an English protestant buried in the Burrane Church ground near Knock Co.Clare and the next morning his grave and body were at the western side of the upper Church ground and his grave is still to be seen.
