A long time ago a ragged or badly dressed man who was a stranger to the district came to the townland of Drummurcher and inquired at a house where a certain 'lone bush' was situated. Later on he was seen digging around it. After some time this man bought an estate of two townlands in the same locality. It was thought that he discovered hidden treasure but no one was sure.
