    Local Poets.
    Captain Southwell lived in Castle Hamilton Killeshandra, Co Cavan about the year 1860 and he wrote this poem on a man who lived near him whose name was Paddy Reilly to whom this poem relates.
    You Ulster brave heroes, I pray you attend,
    And listen t these few lines I have lately penned.
    Concerning one O'Reilly he was a valiant young man,
    And the name he went under was Paddy Shin Bawn.
