  1. John Johston formely of Killeshandra County Cavan, was noted for swimming and diving and was called on many occasions to save lives of people who were drowning.
    Benny Phair, Main Street, Killeshandra was a swift runner and a great jumper. He could jump five feet, nine and a half inches in height and twenty one feet in length. He won many prizes and he is now a police man in Dublin.
    Mr. Britton, Bank of Cavan, is a great weight thrower. He is also very fond of birds. He keeps from fifty to one hundred and sixty between every kind of birds.
