- (continued from previous page)2) Once a man got married and his wife would not get up so he had to make the breakfast but one morning he shouted to his wife that there was a fire she ran down and asked where the fire was. In every other house only this. After that his breakfast was ready when he got up.
- There are many ways of telling the various signs of the weather
1. When the salt gets damp, and the soot begins to fall it is a sign of rain.
2. When the hen runs to her house it is a sign of rain.
3. When we hear the curlew it is a sign of rain.
4. When the mist goes up in the morning it comes down in rain.
5. When the crook gets damp it is a sign of damp.
