  2. The night of the big wind about a hundred years ago. Big black clouds arose and the wind rose. About 20 years ago there was a very heavy rain and hay, turf, potatoes and oats were all flooded and swept away. It began raining in the morning and bottoms, roads, houses and schools were all flooded and the children had to be brought to school in boats. There was a great snowstorm about four years ago and cars or buses were not able to travel. About forty years ago people brought
