  1. There are many different kinds of games. For indoor amusement when the nights are long in winter cards are played.
    The old maid. The cards are divided equally on the players and one queen is left out. When the cards are matched whoever has the odd queen left is supposed to be an old maid or the old bachelor. It is great fun as everyone tries to avoid having the odd card. Boys like hurling or football while girls play comogie or rounders or a game of tig, blindbooby and many other games.
