  1. In the Penal times mass was said in a house ajoining Bailey's mill at Ballywilliam. There lived a man named Tommy Lawler who owned a Tuck mill. Inside this a priest hid for safety. There were horse soldiers in search for him. The priest was taken prisoner and got a very cruel death. When waving good bye to some neighbours he said in years to come this place will be without that name or a tuck mill. This happened in a short time after as the priest said.
