The Castlefield is situated near Cadamstown.

The Castlefield is situated near Cadamstown. Near it is an old road known as the Coach Road. It is said that a Dead coach used be seen there during the night. The men that were seen in it seemed to have no heads. There is also a hill near it known as Gallow's Hill. It was on that hill that O'Carrolls of the Castle used to hang priests. In later years there were men seen riding horses up the hill. There is a rock near the place where the priests used to say Mass. The mark of the Chalice is on the rock.
