  1. In most districts feasts are observed in a special manner. When St Stephens Day occurs a number of boys gather and go around with a wren, and sing a poem.
The wren, the wren, the king of birds
St Stephen's Day she was caught in firs.
Although she is small her family's great
Rise up landlady and give us a treat
Up with the kettle and down with the pan
Give us some money to bury the wren.
There are other feasts such as Christmas, Easter, Michaelmas and Halloween, In some parts of the district a cock is bled in the house on Michaelmas Day. On Halloween night the boys go out and take gates, and wheels of carts. On Christmas night the ass turns toward the east and bows. He never sleeps on that night.
