In one bridge above Kinnity there were some people standing. When they saw the flood coming they just had time to get off it when it was swept away. It also took many other bridges.Brian Donnelly

- There is a mountain not far from this place called Barr Leatan. About the 1880 year there was a terrible thunder storm and terrific rain. This mountain bursted on one side. It covered the whole country side. It moved down and took houses. There were the people living in a house called the Mitchells, and these were all drowned. It took sheep and cattle down before it.
