   and wind a piece of string round the stick at the opening in the broom handle. Tie a little wooden stick to the other end of the cotton and pull. When you do this the propeller will spin rapidly and when the cotton will no longer hold the propeller will shoot into the air like a real aeroplane.

2. Travelling People

   Travelling people still visit the district of Shinrone. It is usually at the end of the week that they come into the village. Some have caravans and others have only canvas tents.
   They usually camp on a big road or on a lane. They always select a nice sheltered green patch a little in off the road to (their) pitch their camps.
