  2. Local Cures.
    Pain in side: -
    If a person takes a pain in his side when going on a journey he will be cured immediately if he takes up a Stone from the ground, licks it and throws it away again.
    Pain in Stomach: -
    A good cure is to sit with one's back to the fire.
    Toothache: -
    Apply candle grease to bad tooth. Another cure is to lick a frogs' head.
    Burned tongue: -
    Lick a dardaoil's stomach.
    Stye on Eye: -
    Pick nine gooseberry thorns and point them at the eye one by one and then throw them over the right shoulder.
