  1. Once upon a time there was a man who lived with his mother in a small house and there was another man living in a big two storey house a long way off. But he had to leave it. At twelve o'clock every night there used to be a ghost seen so the man left.
    He said he would give a thousand pounds to anyone who would sleep in that house by himself. But one day a man came along and went into the house and the man of the house began to talk about ghosts and the man that came in said that he was not afraid of any ghosts.
    So the man told him the story about the other house and the man said he would stop in it that night. When the But when the clock struck twelve he heard a great noise over him.
