- When an animal has been sold the person the person that is buying the animal claps the other man's hand to show that he had agreed to the bargain.
- When a cow is bought there is a stripe made on her back to show that the animal has been sold. It is a stripe of paint or coloured crayon.
- The town fair is not held on the streets but it is held in a fair-place called the square. All the buyers gather(continues on next page)
