    on the point of death. Some of the
    neighbours told the father to try
    the worm cure, which was made
    by a man, named Mr. Kavanagh,
    The Milehouse, Enniscorthy. He
    went and told his story to this
    man. He went out and brought
    in a bunch of herbs from his
    garden. He filled a large glass
    with water and put the herbs in
    it. He had no sooner done this
    than the water frothed over the top
    of the glass. He told him that his
    child was a very bad case with
    worm fever. He made up a bottle,
    and told him to get the contents
    rubbed on the child's eyes, nose, lips,
    ears, and between his shoulders
    three times a day, except Friday,
    when no rubbing was to be done on
    that day, and to drink a wineglass-
    ful of the herb water also. He told
