  1. July 26th, the Feast of St. Anne is the "pattern" day at Killanne.
There is a holy well at Killanne, situated in a field, belonging to Mr. O'Leary, near the ancient graveyard.
This well is dedicated to St. Anne, and Mr Thomas Coady, Grange who is 84 years of age, and a farmer gave me the following information as regards Killanne and Monksgrange.
He got the information from his father, who died in 1870 at the age of 80 years.
He does not know the origin of the well being called St. Anne's Well, but he believes it is called after the ancient church which was situated in the present old graveyard. The well was supposed to have been blessed and called St. Anne's holy well.
A "pattern" is held every year from that time over 200 years ago, to the present day
