   There is no time of the year when birds are not abundant in Ireland. Many birds stay in the district all the year round, but there are others which migrate. Some birds like the blackbird, build their nests in bushes, while the robin builds hers in the ditch. The crow and the magpie build their nests in the treetop, where naughty boys cannot get near them. Nearly all the birds lay five eggs, some blue, some speckled, and others white. The wren which is called the "king of all birds" but is the smallest
